Computing
Here is our Curriculum Intent for Computing
At Elm Wood Primary School, children will receive a modern, relevant and engaging Computing education whilst encouraging children to be creative and computational thinkers. Children will be taught the skills of ICT, coding including programming, the use of multimedia and the use of ICT in the world around them. Computing is a significant part of everyone’s lives and our aim is to equip children with the skills to keep themselves and others safe online, whilst using technology positively and responsibly. Computing also ensures that pupils are able to use, and express themselves and develop their ideas through, information and communication technology ready for the future and as active participants of a digital world.
